Parents training programe on sign language Organized by CRC-Shillong.

Date: 22nd October 2025.

Venue: Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre.

In collaboration with CRC Shillong, a training program on sign language was organized for parents of children with hearing impairments, with nearly 70 parents participating enthusiastically. The program began with a warm welcome by Sr. Maya Phoshna, the Director of FSHC followed by an introduction by Dr. Ram Shakal Sahani, Director of CRCSRE Shillong, and continued with basic sign language training by Mr. Kilumo Ezung, ISL Instructor. Parents were happy to learn the basic signs to communicate with their children, and through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on activities, they gained confidence, inspiration, and skills to support their children’s growth, development, and daily learning at home. The organizers expressed their heartfelt thanks to all participants for their active involvement and commitment, making the program a successful and enriching experience.
