National Children’s Parliament

On this day three members of the National Children’s Parliament’, Violet, Jharna and Ima, visited Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre. They arrived around 11:20 a.m. The sessions with the students started at 12:50. The students were accompanied by Miss Elreena, Miss Kara, Miss Ronika and sir Kitboklang. They started with introduction; they introduced themselves and also asked the students to introduce themselves. After the introduction, the three members asked the students about their villages and places they stay, if there is any development in their villages. After sharing their views and thoughts the students were asked to draw a model village, a community that sets as an example of good development. The students were divided into groups and asked to draw a village they think would have quality life and development. After this activity each group was asked to present their Work, their model village. The session ended at 3:00 p.m.

The session started at 9:00 a.m. The students along with the mentors and teachers went to the auditorium for the session. Before starting the session, the mentors played an ice breaker game just to get the students prepared for the day. After the game, the students were taught about the 17 Sustainable development Goals.

The students were divided into 17 groups and each group was given one topic each. The students have to draw the goals according to their understanding.

After the group works each group have to present and explain their work. The session ended at 3:00 p.m.
